I love getting dressed up for dinner.   Even when we have dinners at home (in a group, say with extended family or friends), we all like to change into our evening clothes to mark the beginning of a fun evening.   There’s nothing like slipping on a dress and a swipe of lipstick in the evening which makes you feel ready for the night ahead.

Before Will & I had the baby, we went out for dinner a few times a week.  There are so many restaurants in Charleston.   We still go on dates often, but of course enjoy being home as a family as much as possible.   Now that it’s more of an occasion, there’s even more reason to feel pulled together and pretty.    I have worn this dress on two evenings out so far in France.  It’s from Cabana Vintage which just launched an online store.   This dress is a one off but I also love this one and this one, both of which are still available.  My favorite way to wear it so far is with these shoes (which I love and are on super sale) and these earrings.

Our first few weeks in France passed all too quickly.  We’re off to England for the week now to visit family and attend a wedding before coming back for a few more weeks, hopefully arriving back to even sunnier weather.  Below are some other dresses which I would love to wear out on a summer’s night. xx
