This was such a fun project for me because I absolutely LOVE this brand — India Amory has done the most phenomenal job at creating stylish and reasonable block print tablecloths for your home and table. They are versatile, easily collected and SO chic and timeless. Julia, the founder, and I both grew up in the City and reconnected last summer over our similar taste and developing brands. I immediately fell in love with EVERY print and have been aiming to collect them all 🙂
What fun it was for me to join Julia at her home in Southampton to set up two holiday looks. I was reminded of how well these patterns layer and how they are at once such a fun splash of color but also surprisingly neutral. These would make such fantastic holiday presents for family and friends, they work year round and I particularly love how the napkins/placemats come as one set — stocking stuffer anyone?? Brilliant. I am itching to play with these (hint hint husband) but am also soooo in love with the green we used here (even MORE beautiful in person) and it went so well with the brown, which in my view might be the staple of the whole collection.
What a pleasure it is to cozy up next to a blazing outdoor fire. It was a delicious bright and crisp autumn day and the fire set such an inviting scene. Even though it’s late November, we’re still dining outside on our screened in porch here in Charleston. We keep cashmere throws on the back of each chair so that guests can cozy up. Although we don’t have a fire place, we can set a similar mood with lots and lots of candles!
Loved how these turkey shakers and tortoise votives added a layer of holiday cheer!
Next, we moved inside for a dinner time. The lavender cloth was the perfect complement to such a rich surrounding. Is it my favorite color and works well in all seasons: here it is autumnal with the mums, wicker and hurricanes and I can also imagine whipping it out for Easter with an ombre of lavender, pink and yellow flowers or for a more tropical outside vibe in summer, mango and pink ranunculus anyone?? Bougainvillea? It would all look so SO beautiful (can’t wait to show you). For now, enjoy this glowy table and I hope that it inspires you to use some of these prints this holiday season !!! xxx
