Sag Harbor is one of my favorite villages in the Hamptons. With its picturesque main road, beautiful homes and perfect seaside location, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. I can’t say that we have been great at exploring beyond our favorite spots because our time there is always so limited. I thought it might be fun to share with you some of my ‘unmissable’ Sag Harbor experiences, starting of course with a walk down the upper part of the main road which is full of spectacular (#goals) homes.
First, we always stop at LT Burger for legendary milkshake. Will and I can’t tell you how much we love this place. We make special, sneaky trips there every time we visit my aunt and uncle –we cannot stay away! The chocolate milkshake is the best I have ever had and I love all of their burgers but usually stick to the vegetarian, fish or turkey burger. You can’t make a bad choice!! We split the milkshake and it’s gone within minutes. It’s WGFF (“worth getting fat for”).
Next, we also love the American Hotel (not pictured) for cocktails or lobster BLTs! It’s difficult to make a decision about where to eat because it’s all so good. We loved Grindstone — unbelievably, we had milkshakes and donuts on this trip. Donuts were fun to bring home to the rest of the family!
Sag Harbor has some great antique stores. My favorite is Ruby Beets because I love the neutral, seaside-inspired furniture and I also love her collection of photographs.
I just recently discovered a boutique, Addo, which has beautiful linen and lace french pieces as well as very affordable sunglasses — it’s a mix of bohemian and cool more structured pieces, definitely worth a visit. I loved wearing this dress around town by one of my favorite brands, Draper James.
The baby was a bit spent after this whirlwind tour (see below!) so we called it a day. Let me know if there are any places that you consider ‘unmissable’ for our next visit! xx
