As I have said before, I live in sarongs and bathing suits in the summer. The best cure for the jungle-like heat and humidity of Charleston is a dip in the sea (Sullivan’s Island is my pick!) and go nearly every day when we’re home. I am always on the hunt for pretty new pieces that will function well at the beach but also work for a walk in town or a lunch with friends. I was recently introduced to a new company, India Amory, which has the prettiest printed fabric pareos and I am in love! This was my favorite and first purchase, the lavender clover print, which I have been wearing non-stop since we arrived home.
It is so light and comfortable and can be tied in many ways, I have worn it as a dress over a bikini or wrapped like this, short and long. What’s more, India Amory has a line of tablecloths, placemats and napkins which are all so chic and perfect to have on hand for an instant lunch or dinner party. I am collecting them all! Julia (India Armory’s founder and designer) originally had them made for her wedding — I wish they had been invented in time for mine! There is also a line of pretty printed robes which are perfect for bridesmaids (little ones too!).
Looking forward to setting some tables with India Amory fabrics in the near future! They are a new household staple for us. xx
