An Evening in St. Tropez

June 28, 2017

One of our last evenings in France, we headed into town with our friends Julia and Thomas for dinner.  Julia and Thomas couldn’t believe that it was our first time out but with the baby and such a solid home base, we had hardly noticed that we had yet to venture off the property in the evening. We arrived at the perfect time for a beautiful walk around the gleaming port; the flowers and pastel walls were lit up by the golden glow of the sun setting.  The salty balmy smell of the sea wafted through the alleyways and added to the already surreal beauty of the town.  I think Will and I were unusually sleepy and felt a bit like we were walking in a blissful dream.

Picture perfect scenes presented themselves around every turn, I couldn’t stop snapping away.   The evening light in France makes even the most simple moments so painting like, it is a photographer’s paradise.  I loved swanning around in this old zimmerman dress, delightfully feminine and dreamy.  It is old but I have rounded up some similarly excellent dresses at the bottom of the post.

This shot above might be my favorite.  After a good wander, we headed to dinner at a very sweet local restaurant.  We didn’t forget to stop at my favorite ice cream store on the way back to the car — luckily it is open very late!  I plan to share some of our favorite spots from our trip shortly. xx
