Cooler weather has finally arrived!  It is a glorious 70 degrees and sunny with a nippy breeze — my favorite time of year in town.  We have been waiting for this moment, and also trying to start getting back into some of our old routines, like playing tennis in the early evening and going out to eat more.  We had a post-wedding (working) brunch at the Obstinate Daughter (my favorite) on sunday which was really fun.   Fall also means time for more events.  Last week, I was invited to preview the fall collection with Club Monaco (they had an amazing little party here with RMS — what a great duo).   I went right back the next day and grabbed a bunch of pieces.  I LOVE this top (will be released next week) and these trousers.  This top goes with everything (all the skirts) and I know that I will be wearing these a lot this fall.  Plus I always have my velvet slippers 😉

When we moved here, we lived in the heart of downtown in a little row house.  It was such a lovely way to get to know the city, we could walk to the battery (harbor) every evening and everything was right at our fingertips.  I LOVE where we live now, we are still downtown but it is a bit more residential.  I find it very uplifting though to come back into the heart of Charleston and to wander the streets, it is breathtaking.

We’re also finding time to start really decorating our house the way we’d like.  We have had a bit of a haphazard arrangement, and we’re always moving our furniture around for shoots.   We wandered into one of my favorite shops in Mount Pleasant,  The Green Shutter, and spied this kilim sofa, buried under all those pillows, which I am really hoping to collect!
