Yesterday was the last evening we had with our friends with England so we took the opportunity to take a final tour through the village.    I can’t get over the spectacular beauty of the walls of climbing flowers.   We’re all very enthusiastic about photography which made for an amusing time — we looked a bit over the top with so many cameras, you could definitely spot the tourists!  Nevertheless, we giggled our way through the narrow streets, finding beauty around every corner.   There isn’t one house that hasn’t bought into the pride that the villagers clearly take in the presentation of their homes.

I have been wearing this dress and these sandals nonstop (as I am sure that you can tell!).  Both are so comfortable — this dress is easy to throw over a bathing suit for lunch or to dress up a bit for the evening — very versatile!  I also wore it here.  It is flattering and sits in the right place (at the waist) and so makes one feel fantastic even after eating multiple croissants every morning.  I have grabbed a few more dresses by this brand (same fit) and linked to them at the bottom of the page. I probably need to get a new pair of shoes soon and plan to do some hunting at the markets here and in Italy.

The newcomers found photographing to be thirsty work; we finished off with a cool drink at a restaurant before picking up some fresh vegetables and sausages to grill at the local market.   We were sad to see our friends leave this morning after a farewell breakfast but are looking forward to welcoming our American crew next week! xx
