We’re so excited to welcome one of my favorite designers, HVN, to Charleston because the line is now carried in my favorite store: HAMPDEN! Harley, the designer of the line, is one of my childhood friends and I had the great privilege of shooting her wedding this past October in New York. I absolutely adore her dresses — they are feminine, flattering and the ultimate easy outfit to throw on to feel pulled together. I also find the dresses take you from day to night so easily, and though it would be fun to show you how I wore mine in a “day in the life” here in town…which basically ended up being a day spent eating sweets at my favorite spots….!
Sugar Bakeshop is a Charleston classic and a must if you come to visit, I try not to let myself go there too often. I’m not a huge cupcake person but I find these ones are “worth getting fat for” (the family yardstick). Not to be missed as well is the lovely, sweetest stationary shop Mac & Murphy right down the street. It’s a great place to pick up presents for loved ones back home, too!
After a bit of strolling downtown, we love popping by Leon’s for an afternoon glass of rosé — it’s one of my favorite spots to hang out outside for lunch or dinner, and definitely a great spot to take friends. Had one last sweet treat here, too!
I could live in these dresses and am particularly excited about the ones that Stacy picked for Hampden — they’re already selling so quickly (and the line sells out so fast) so worth checking out! I always size up– I often end up buying a six in her line (most lines I run 2-4), it runs small across the chest and feels more comfortable with a bit of wiggle room. xxx
