I have made a great friend recently who is an organizer and one of her favorite sayings is, “messy bed, messy head”. It couldn’t be more true, and spending time with her as we get our home organized has shown me the life-changing power of order. We have been combing our way through the house, starting in the master bedroom and working our way through the kitchen, linen cupboard and other areas. Even the a little bit of order creates a luxurious feeling and experience which infuses the home with a sense of calm and love.
Of course the easiest habit to get into is making the bed. It is such a pleasure to come home to a crisp, neat, cozy space which makes you feel pampered and helps you unwind at the end of the day. For us, the bedroom is also central to our family life, full of animals and our son, we get a lot of foot traffic across our sheets!
