Hi! We kicked off our wedding season last weekend at Palmetto Bluff (three days) with Easton Events. It was spectacular, such a beautiful day and beautiful family, all around uplifting and life-affirming. We brought our little baby, really for the fist time and he was so good — slept through the night even with all of us piled in the same room. I loved every moment of it and was reminded of how emotionally all-encompassing weddings are when you are photographing and so took Monday off and yesterday (Tuesday) we flew to Pensacola Florida for our first assignment with Garden & Gun. Here we are in this sweet little inn in a charming town, can’t wait to reveal more in the coming months but here is a quick snippet from our sunset on the white sand, turquoise water beach.
I picked up these white linen pants this week and have been wearing them so much that I actually ordered another pair (in a size down, because they stretch). It’s like wearing pajamas — really elegant, pulled together, fit-in-anywhere, iconic pajamas. I know that they will be one of my go-to favorite purchases for this season and I really, whole-heartedly recommend a pair! I have so many ways to wear them in mind, from over a white bathing suit for lunch, to with an off the shoulder cropped top, to a great button down, to this striped sweater…they are very versatile! (Here is an on sale very similar red sweater). I have also taken to being so lazy about make up so do forgive!!! Eye-liner be gone! 🙂
Some other summer essentials, a great hat, pair of neutral wedges and this bag!
In the sunset hour, it didn’t feel quite warm enough to swim but the champagne definitely made it feel more tempting. I know that swimming season is just around the corner and I can’t wait. I also can’t wait to tell you more about this trip … soon! xx
Isn’t it so beautiful?

Beautiful as always Lucy! I used to live in southern Mississippi and have visited Pensacola numerous times! Can’t wait to see more about your trip!
Hey Logan!! How cool! We really enjoyed ourselves. Looking forward to posting more about it in June! It is a piece for G&G coming out in the August Issue 🙂 xxx
Hiiiii from MS!! The coast is so charming! I’m so glad you’re visiting! 💕💕💕 question: what camera did y’all use for these pictures? They are stunning!
Hey! I used my Leica M but I used the VSCO 1 presents (I think portra 160) and then tweaked from there — you can get shots like this on a regular DSLR! xx
