Every morning we do a morning bread run to pick up fresh pastries and bread for the day. The baguettes are piping hot and so fresh that they only last until the afternoon. We always grab regular croissants and either pain au chocolate or almond croissants — so delicious!! We love our guests to wake up to a breakfast of fresh fruit and patisseries; we didn’t quite manage to go as early as we liked every day this year but we tried our best!
There are two phenomenal bakeries in our town; we rotate between them. We also add in a fresh quiche for lunch or dinner or pick up a tarte for dessert. It’s too difficult to walk in there and come out without a full basket — everything is so mouth watering and such a treat. We definitely do not hold back while we’re here! I’m often pretty groggy in the morning and don’t like to think too much — I love throwing on this type of shirt dress or something which makes me feel instantly pulled together. I brought my special new bag which was an early birthday present from my friend Julia (so lovely) this time, it is my new favorite!
