We’re celebrating the reasons we love Charleston so much by highlighting some of our favorite routines from around town; our first post was about our great love for Sullivan’s Island and our beach walks. Another reason we love living here so much is the food!! Will and I were actually planning to open a juice bar when we moved down to Charleston (we’re really glad that we didn’t but we still love juice!) and love to pick up a medley of heathy salads, smoothies and of course some treats from the Daily — our go to spot for breakfast and lunch. To say that we frequent the Daily is an understatement, we are there at least once a day, if not twice. It’s a terribly indulgent habit and we love it — live a little ;)! The Aztec Smoothie (with almond butter added) is my favorite, I highly recommend if you come to visit or if you live here and haven’t tried!
Over Christmas, the Daily added in this new counter and even more sweet treats — lucky us. We have the croissants at least a few times a week and I also love the chocolate chip cookies; we tried the monkey bread yesterday and it is incredible, as anticipated. We also try to buy all our bread here for toast and sandwiches throughout the week. This routine of picking up fresh bread reminds us of our summer in France and we’re so lucky to have it just down the street. I also never fail to take out of town visitors here — it’s often our first stop after airport pickup.
Our other go-to restaurants in no particular order are: Basic Kitchen, Edmund’s Oast, Goat Sheep Cow North, the Obstinate Daughter, FIG, the Ordinary and Butcher & Bee. We don’t go out too often now and I know that there are lots of new places to try but those are my old faithfuls which I still highly recommend….! xx
These were some of my favorite and most used shoes from last summer; sadly I can’t find this color anymore but I have added a link at the bottom of the page to some others that I love!
